We had just attended the Premiere Business Intelligence Executive Conference yesterday which was held at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. It is a one-day by-invitational event sponsored by SAS to help as gain insights on how organizations use analytics, data integration, and business intelligence to improve performance in a variety of industries. The conference also provides us an opportunity to hear inspiring presentations from thought leaders, practitioners, and business executives from Philippines, Asia Pacific, and the United States. The program is composed of four presentation tracks: 1) Information Management, (2) Performance Management, (3) Customer Management, and (4) Risk Management. Each track has set of topics discussed by different keynote speakers. 

I attended the Performance Management track and found it insightful and relevant in my future project: The Datawarehousing and Business Intelligence Project (There... I already revealed to you one of the changes that was happening in my job.) This new project is both challenging and worth-pursuing since I only have a very basic knowledge about datawarehousing and online analytical processing (OLAP). I do not have any knowledge yet about technical tools and applications which we will be using. In the next few days and months, we will be trained about these. For now, all I have was apprehensions, wishful & positive thinking, courage, and faith. Hope this will be enough to embark in this new project and be successful in the end...
